Business conference leads to curling?

I'm new to the networking thing, so attending business conferences with one of your best friends and business partners makes awkward small talk at these types of events much easier!

But what also I've realized from attending more business events lately is that there are so many cool people in our local community and many of these connections can lead to places you never imagined! I recently tried curling for the first time after meeting the GM of the Dixie Curling Club at a breakfast event and curling is an absolute blast! I didn't imagine I might develop a new life-long hobby from a business networking breakfast!
