Camp Kandalore - Staff Culture (2023)
As a seasonal organization, Camp Kandalore (Algonquin Highlands, ON) is always looking for skilled and dedicated staff members. What better way to illustrate their incredible work environment and team than to let the current staff speak for themselves! This video could be ultilized during every hiring block throughout the year and live on their Job Opportunities page to let all potential candidates know what life is like at Camp Kandalore.
We went on location for 3-days and filmed interviews of a dozen staff members in their element during the busy summer of months of camp to capture the energy and excitement that the job brings everyday! This was such a fun time. The biggest challenge was just finding time to interview all the staff members since they were always busy with programming for the campers!
Appleby College - Holiday Greetings (2023)
Every year, Appleby College (Oakville, ON) sends out a Happy Holidays digital greeting card to their community of staff, students, parents, and alumni. We have created this annual tradition with them for nearly a decade!
There are a couple unofficial rules we abide by: Santa Claus must be in every video to be played by the Principal himself, feature some of the real students in the lead roles, and lastly, always have a twist ending punch line!
Eric writes every script and ensures that good nature and comedy is infused each time. The biggest challenge is that we must make these while school is in session. So scheduling the shoots when the principal and students are all free at the same time is rare and short. Generally, we film all of these videos in under an hour with very minimal set up and gear so that we can move quickly and everyone can get back to their homework as soon as possible!
Hub Climbing - COVID-19 Cleaning Protocols (2021)
During the COVID-19 pandemic, gyms across Canada were imposing new cleaning regulations in order to ensure the health and safety of their members. Hub Climbing (Mississauga, ON and Markham, ON) invested a lot into their cleaning process and features so it was important that members all knew what would be changing so that the next time they visited the gym, they would have peace-of-mind that the facilty would be as germ-free as possible.
Cleaning protocols sounds like the most boring thing to focus a video on however, so working under partner Miguel Sta Cruz (www.migstacruz.com), he decided to turn a dry topic into something FUN that delivered the information they required while still being entertaining for their community to watch and share!
The greatest challenge of this project was creating something engaging with a topic most people wouldn’t find interesteing so the script was vital to the success of this project. We also wanted to exaggerate all the body movements in the performances too so that the expressions could still be read despite all of us being masked! Let us know how we did! The main character is played by yours truly!
Logical Outcomes - Portraits and General Website Photography (2021)
All corporate and municipal organizations require headshots as well as general BTS photography for better transparency between the organization and both customers and citizens. These images help to bring a face to the work being done and as well as connect locals to the organization.
Logistical Outcomes (Toronto, ON) asked us to come in and capture some headshots but also some behind-the-scenes candids of the team working together. Having never seen the office beforehand, the greatest challenge was to quickly light the space. The office was dark with high ceilings which looks great in-person but wouldn’t translate well photographically so we added many lights to bounce around and bring life back into their faces.

SBI Design - Vertical Marketing Ad (2023)
SBI Design (Mississauga, ON) is a partner to Limit One Productions and she requested a vertical video to be used in social media ads running on Instagram. We wanted to create something stylish to represent the type of work she does for her own clients and vertical video is the future of marketing so this was a good opportunity to practice the unique aspect ratio.
The challenge of this project was that while we wanted to showcase her process, she didn’t want to be visually in the video so that the work could stand on its own. But how do you create a video to showcase a digital product and the artist doesn’t want to be onscreen?
We scripted out some moments of the process and some transitions and effects we could use to add momentum and energy to what is essentially a service done entire on the computer that lacks a cinematic quality. I’m really happy with how this turned out and it’s all because the client was willing to trust me and try something new!
